A review on the Supre:Organism – exhibition has been published on the We Make Money Not Art – blog. The Photons of Mars installation was shown as part of the group exhibition Supre:Organism at Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen in the Netherlands, by the Waag Society. The curator of the exhibition was Miha Turšič.

The Other Side of Mars screens at Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, where it won the “A Testimony on Knowledge” – award. The Other Side of Mars screens at Buffalo International Film Festival, and at The Imagine Science Film Festival in New York.

The Other Side of Mars has been selected for the Jaipur International Film Festival, taking place in January 2020. In November the Other Side of Mars screens at Imagine Science Film Festival in New York and the InScience International Film Festival, Nijmegen, The Netherlands in the main competition.

The tree channel film installation Photons of Mars will be shown at the exhibition Supre:Organism at Kunstfort, The Netherlands, organised by The Waag Society and curated by Miha Turšič. The Other Side of Mars screens in the Golden Owl competition program at the “Bergen International Film Festival”

During the fall of 2019 I will be in residency at the SPACE Studios in London. The residency was awarded via an open call for the Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts alumni by the Academy of Fine Arts and the Saastamoinen foundation.

In April 2019 I will be participating in the Continuum launch event at Culture Lab, Newcastle, produced by Allenheads Contemporary Arts and curated by Rob La Frenais.” In May 2019 I will participate in the “FEMeeting 2019, Women in Art, Science and Technology“, held in Vila Nova de Milfontes and Lisbon, Portugal.    

The documentary The Other Side of Mars, produced by Liisa Karpo at napafilms, is finished and will be premiering at the Doc Point Festival in Helsinki.
